‘A Night of a 1000 Thrills’ is a celebration of Helens life; it’s about keeping that smile alive. It’s about getting together as a group of people who share a devotion to The Killers and having one hell of a night!! It is also about raising as much money as possible for our 3 nominated charities:

First of all, an apology. We (as in the organising committee) of www.nightofa1000thrills.com (NOATT) had many debates about where the event should be held. Some possible venues were coming in at extortionate prices. . As NOATT is a charitable event and Pure offered us a good rate for the evening, well then we decided, terribly sorry, but as Pure is over 18s only, it just has to be done.
We’ve all been under 18, so, in an attempt to somewhat mollify the age thing, NOATT is pleased to announce details of the U-18s only raffle.
Prizes: A made to measure custom sized BFlo feather jacket.
£50 iTunes voucher
1 year paid for subscription to the Victims
Raffle tickets cost £1 and will be drawn live during NOATT
Morning all! Well what a night last night in Liverpool with Brandon Flowers and lots of lovely friends.
First things first, guess which bear was on stage all night?? Clue – red jumper. Yees, how dd you guess it was me???
Brandon Flowers saw the portrait we have as a prize and very kindly autographed it.
So for those of you who weren’t there and those who were but want to breathe that fire again, I will be on stage with the Fillers on October 23rd – once I’ve stopped gazing at the lovely BF portrait! For those of you missing the Killers, this is the ideal show for you.
See you very soon. For those of you who can’t make it, please, please, please do make a donation of any amount through the website.
From a member of the Fillers who shall remain nameless: ” I read the reasons behind the fundraiser and was so moved, I cried.” www.nightofa1000thrills.com
Well, we have sold quite a few tickets to you victims, and tickets are still available through the site, but now we are going public, and the event is being advertised via skiddle.com
the flyer zooming it’s way into thousands of inboxes within a 25mile radius of the event..
Hi everyone, its little ol’ me again. Ok, so our big event is now just around the corner, and the Committee have never been more busy than we are now. Learning lots of new tricks and lessons along the way. There has been an update to the website now, so its possible to donate money towards the 3 charities, War Child UK, Lupus UK and Myositis Support. You can donate as little or as much as you like, just click onto the link found on the ‘Tickets’ tab. Talking of tickets, have you got yours yet? There are still tickets for sale at only £32 each, what a perfect way to end Brandons UK tour, meeting up with all your Victifriends A reminder of what you’re getting for your money; The fabulous Fillers, The Laura Warshauer Band (inc our very own Handsome Rob & BLP) and Scottish band, and good friends of Rob, Keava. Special appearance from Furry Helen. There’s The Killers karaoke challenge, raffles of Killers memorabilia (see website for some of the prizes we have on offer), fun & games, including Victims Awards, there is so much more. So if you can make it into Manchester on the 23rd October – please come – you know it makes sense, plus you’ll be helping raise money in honour & celebration of our late Victim friend, Helen Loomes. Also remember you can also buy tickets to enter for a chance to win one of Tommy Marth’s saxophones used in the Day & Age tour, at only £5 per entry.
We are also looking for some volunteers to help promote the night, by Tweeting, Facebooking or other social networks site, by linking to the website as much as possible. Let us know on tkvfundraiser@hotmail.com, if you want to help.
Hope everyone’s ok, and that we’re all a little less stressed now that Mr Brandon Flowers of the not splitting up the Killers has announced his UK tour dates, I know I am . Right so to business. A Night of a 1000 Thrills is just around the corner, October 23rd to be precise. Not long now. This fundraising in event in the total honour of Helen Loomes, who most of you know passed away in January this year. Now here’s the facts, although ticket sales are not bad, and sax entries are not bad, this whole event has been affected by the pending announcement of the big Brandon Flowers tour. Sure, had this been me reading this, I probably would have chosen Brandon Flowers too. However, if you remember over 200 of you wanted this night to happen. Remember, not only was it a great way to raise money for charity on Helens behalf, but it was a great end of year get together for all of us Victims who got to know each other through the most recent Killers D&A tour, remember all the withdrawal symptoms we talked about, not losing touch with newly made friends. Guys & girls we really do need your support. What other way is there than ending Brandons current tour than having a last big night out on the 23rd October, you know you want to. We have the gorgeous Trevor Hurley & our own UK version of TK – The Fillers. We have handsome Rob & BLP coming especially from Vegas for us, with The Laura Warshauer Band, we have Keava from Scotland. We not only have that but we will have fun & games; The Killers karaoke challenge, how well do you know the songs, can you get up on stage and sing any random the Killers song? We will have the raffles of all the fantastic donations, some you can see on the website, you could win yourself something big here, most of it authenticated the Killers memorabilia. We have the winner of one Tommy Marths saxophone played on the Killers D&A tour to announce. There’s so much more, but we need you all to try and get involved, preferably by coming, but if not, by buying a ticket for an entry into the draw for the sax. A little later on this month we will open the donations page for people to donate, this will likely be through Just giving. Take a look at the website www.nightofa1000thrills.com and see what you could be missing. COME ON lets show this place what we’re made of xxxx
